Wood Shop

Far from your junior high school "wood shop" experience, the wood shop at the GoggleWorks is the perfect place for any woodworking, carving and woodturning activity. Classes and shop rental times are available throughout the year. As you feel more comfortable creating wood products in our shop, watch your creativity soar at home, completing the projects you have been neglecting for years.

Open Shop: Tuesday 12-9pm, Wednesday 5-9pm, Thursday 12-9pm

Additional open shop hours coming soon

In order to use any of the studio facilities at the GoggleWorks, participants must be members of the GoggleWorks at the monocle level or above.

To work in the woodshop, a member must be certified to use equipment during open shop- certification $50 fee.

Wood Shop Costs

Costs for Open Shop:

$10 per hour
$175 for 20 hour block time (cards will be kept at front desk).
$320 for a block of 40 hours= $8/hr (hours expire 1 year from date of purchase)

Special tool charges:

Wide Belt Sander: $10/hour in addition to shop rental- must have shop supervisor present.

Molding Machine: $25/hour in addition to shop rental- must have shop supervisor present.
