GoggleWorks 5th Anniversary Gala: Fabulous 5!

September 11, 2010 | 5-10PM

Celebrate five years of GoggleWorks by attending our annual Gala featuring: 5 floors of art, culture, music, food, and libations! Engage your 5 senses as you mingle with the artists in their studios, bid on live and silent auction items and explore the country´s largest art center.

$125 per ticket or $1,000.00 for a table of 10.

Family Halloween Studio Crawl

October 30, 2010 | 3-5PM

Calling all kids…come in costume for an evening of “Halloween” fun for the entire family. Trick-or-treat with the artists in their studios, eat spooky snacks, drink scary punch, enjoy the art, make your own art project, and win prizes. Make the most of a "safe," productive Halloween!

$5.00 per ticket | Ages 2-12, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Get It While It's Hot

November 20, 2010 | 5-9PM

Come enjoy the energy, the crowd -- and the fire! Watch EXTREME glass blowing by famed glass artists from across the country along with the opportunity to bid on the HOT art as it is being created. Enjoy adult beverages and hors d´oeuvres. This one-of-a-kind event in Berks supports the GoggleWorks Hot Shop. $35 per ticket. Order tickets online or call the GoggleWorks at 610.374.4600.

Second Sundays at the GoggleWorks

Visit the GoggleWorks open house event on the Second Sunday of every month from 11AM-4PM. Join community members and visitors from near and far to frolic in the creative and dynamic atmosphere of the GoggleWorks. Second Sundays activities include:

• Listening to live music throughout the day.
• Enjoying the spontaneity of a walk-in workshop in hot glass, ceramics, or jewelry.

Fascinate the child in your life with a FREE make-and-take project.

Exploring all the buildings on the GoggleWorks campus and all five floors of the main building, which contain 34 artist studios, galleries, arts and cultural organizations.

You also won´t be able to resist the consumption of the delicious delicacies at the Cucina Café.

First Thursdays at the GoggleWorks

GoggleWorks hosts opening every First Thursday of the month. First Thursdays are a monthly arts event at the GoggleWorks and the many galleries in the nearby Reading, West Reading and Wyomissing areas. First Thursday activities include:

Complimentary refreshments, entertainment, and, of course, a whole city block of art

PA Glass Trail 2010

The Pennsylvania Glass Trail gives new meaning
to seeing the world through rose-colored glasses
- as part of this artisan trail, you´ll see the
world through glass of every color imaginable!
As you hit the road on the PA Glass Trail to
explore contemporary art glass, you´ll find the
GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, PA Glass Trail
artists´ studios, and the Banana Factory. You
will learn about how art glass is created, talk
to and share in glass artists´ experiences, and
discover some of the most beautiful art glass in
the country.

The Pennsylvania Glass Trail is an innovative
glass art tour connecting the GoggleWorks with
independent glass artists´ studios, galleries
featuring glass, and art glass shops along the
Route 222 corridor from Lancaster to Bethlehem.
The Pennsylvania Glass Trail provides visitors
interested in the rich history and production
of glass art with a self guided tour to visit
participating glass artists´ studios, galleries and
shops, where artists share with visitors their
work, experiences, and creative workplaces.
