WINTER 2012 Classes and Workshops --- Register Now!

Winter12 CatalogCover WINTER 2012 Classes and Workshops --- Register Now!

GoggleWorks is kicking off the New Year with lots of classes and workshops - bringing back old favorites along with exciting new options.

In fibers, add some coziness to your winter nights with a rug you´ll create with fabric from recycled curtains, sheets and clothes. Or try felting, which is a very popular medium at craft shows. In our 2-day workshop, you´ll make your own felted fabric using needle and hand-felting techniques.

If you like the idea of working with glass, this session we´re offering a few classes combining various mediums, giving students the opportunity to work in both the Cold & Warm Glass Studio and the Hot Shop. Students will walk away with a wealth of knowledge about the different techniques used in glass.

For those young students in an at-home school program, we are excited to offer a general art class taught by a PA Certified Art Teacher that will cover a variety of mediums over eight weeks. We hope to be able to build on this program in the future and to expand it for home-schooled students of all
ages.

Things are also heating up in GoggleWorks´ Dance Studio, where we are offering classes in Belly Dance and Salsa, as well as a Hatha Yoga class for adults and a Hip-Hop Dance class for kids ages 11 - 15.

For seniors, we are offering a drawing class where you´ll learn to draw with charcoal and pastels, as well as a woodworking class where an instructor will assist you with your projects in GoggleWorks´ Woodshop.

If our scheduled classes do not fit your schedule, please contact us to arrange a private lesson or a private workshop for yourself and friends or family. More information is available on GoggleWorks´ website, www.goggleworks.org, or by calling 610-374-4600.

Sincerely,

Dawnita Smith
Program Director
