Intro to Jewelry and Metalsmithing, 10 Weeks

In this introductory course, students will learn various metalworking techniques used to work with nonferrous metals such as copper,bronze, brass, nickel and sterling silver. Learn how to use hand tools and torches, jewelry-making equipment, soldering and annealing processes, cold-connection joinery,forging and finishing to create fine jewelry and small sculptures.

Intermediate Jewelry and Metalsmithing, 10 Weeks

Experienced students will further develop their metalsmithing skills,taking their designs to the next
level. Technique, functionality and design principles, as well as complex soldering techniques, advanced
use of the flexible shaft machine,forging, patination and tool maintenance are taught in this class.

Embellished Spoons, 2 Days

Using basic metalsmithing techniques,students will create and embellish hand-fabricated spoons out of non-ferrous metals such as copper, bronze, brass and nickel.

Wire Wrapping, 2 Days

Learn how to make earrings and bracelets using wire-wrapping techniques, as well as how to create
your own ear wires and chains using wire and beads.
