Class and Registration Policies
Membership
Only artist members and above are eligible to use open studio hours. Some rates may apply, depending on the studio, and the enrollment status of the member. Members at the Monocle level or above receive 10% off classes. Membership discount is applicable to only the tuition fee. There is no discount on materials fees.
Payment
We accept cash, checks and credit cards to reserve your place in class. We will not hold registrations without payment. Once sufficient enrollment is reached, your card will be charged or your check deposited. Final decisions on course status are determined as sufficient enrollment is reached, or 10 days prior to the start of class. Registered students will be notified with confirmation or cancellation information.
Please make checks payable to GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. If you are paying by check and taking more than one class, please write a separate check for each class.
Cancellations
The GoggleWorks reserves the right to cancel a class based on insufficient enrollment. Scheduled instructors are subject to change. Registered students in such a class will either not be charged, or issued a refund. The GoggleWorks may cancel classes due to inclement weather. Please dial 610.374.4600 x199 for the most current information about changes made to the hours of operation.
Refunds
The GoggleWorks issues refunds for cancellations made by students 10 days before the start of class, less a 20% administrative fee. Tuition fees for cancellations made by students after that date are not refundable.
It is the student’s responsibility to attend the classes for which he or she has enrolled. There are no refunds for classes that have not been attended. Students may not make up a missed class during another class.
If you are ineligible for a refund, but have not attended any sessions of the class, you may request an acknowledgement from the GoggleWorks office, which will enable you to claim your unused tuition as a tax-deductible contribution.
For Parents
Students under the age of 13 must be escorted to and from their classes by an adult, and signed in and out of the classrooms.
Photographs
The GoggleWorks reserves the right to use photographs taken during classes and other programs for the marketing and promotion of the arts center. Any person who does not wish to be photographed, or have his or her child photographed, is asked to notify the GoggleWorks upon registration.
Supplies
Although some materials are included in the class tuition, many of our classes require the additional purchase of materials. If applicable, students will receive a materials list provided with their confirmation letter. Some materials may be available to purchase in the GoggleWorks Store. We do our best to offer these items at an affordable price. Please call for hours of operation for the GoggleWorks Store.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available based on financial need. For an application, please contact the Program Department at 610.374.4600 x105

FOR ALL GLASS AND CERAMICS STUDENTS:
Please take note of the following safety information:
Closed toe, sturdy footwear is required. Please tie long hair back, and do not wear loose flowing clothing, or clothing made from synthetic fibers. Students who aren’t properly dressed for class will not be allowed to participate as a safety precaution. Please plan to bring and drink plenty of water. For Hot Glass, students should be ages 13 and up, and approximately 5’ tall.
Glass and ceramics pieces made in workshops and classes have to be fired in a kiln before you can take them home. Be sure to check with the staff, but most projects are available for pickup in about 4 weeks. Pieces will be kept in storage for pickup for a maximum of three months.
