GoggleWorks Center for the Arts is currently hiring for the following position:

Ceramics Studio Manager
40 hours/week; schedule varies
salary commensurate with experience

Seeking an individual trained in all aspects of running a ceramics studio and has managerial experience.The Ceramics Studio Manager works independently and cooperatively with staff and reports directly to the Director of Program Operations.

Qualifications:
– B.F.A. required, M.F.A. preferred
– some teaching experience highly preferred
– 5+ years experience working in ceramics
– proficient with glaze chemistry
– ability to manage budgets, supplies, and scheduling
– ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
– highly organized and detail-oriented
– self-starter and good leader
– supportive of the mission and goals of GoggleWorks

Responsibilities:
Overseeing the daily operations of GoggleWorks’ Ceramic Studio, including, but not limited to:
– maintenance of rental program and procedures
– maintenance of timely firing and studio access schedules
– stocking and mixing of raw materials; clay and glazes
– inventory supplies and materials
– manage and oversee work-exchange program
– maintain clean and orderly work environment, including up-to-date OSHA standards
– work with Programs Department to develop and implement ceramic-centric courses and activities
– continue cultivating a strong and dynamic studio community and culture
– work with GoggleWorks’ staff to market the facility, classes, and workshops
– repair and maintain ceramic studio equipment and kilns
