GoggleWorks has many activities to offer groups, whether you are a teacher organizing a field trip for your school, looking for a teambuilding activity for your colleagues or just GoggleWorks Gategetting a group of friends together to have some fun. Enjoy a tour of our beautiful buildings or a demonstration or workshop in one of our art studios – there are many ways to enjoy all that GoggleWorks has to offer.

Please make requests 10 days prior to the date you would like to visit. GoggleWorks requires a non-refundable deposit of $30 to add your activities to our schedule and payment in full is due 5 days prior to your visit.

An Introductory Visit to GoggleWorks

Explore GoggleWorks´ beautiful facilities and creative environment, which formerly housed the Willson Safety Products factory. You´ll see GoggleWorks gallery spaces, the ceramics, glass, jewelry-making and woodworking studios, the film theatre, and stroll through our floors of artists´ studios to view their artwork, ask them about their influences and learn about the variety of ways people create art.

Visitors from the American Association of University Women explore GoggleWorks’ Willson History Project, a permanent exhibition featuring artifacts and historical information about the 130-year history of the Willson Goggle Factory that was once housed in GoggleWorks’ facilities.

Ceramics

  • Half an hour in length.
  • Up to 15 guests. $75.

Learn about the art of wheel-throwing and see how pottery is made in GoggleWorks’ Ceramics Studio. Our artists will narrate as they demonstrate their skills, creating a piece from start to finish.

Glassblowing

  • 1 hour in length.
  • Up to 100 guests. $200.

Learn about the art of glassblowing and see how glassware is made in GoggleWorks’ Hot Glass Studio. Our artists will narrate as they demonstrate their glassblowing skills, creating a piece from start to finish. The Glass Studio offers bleacher seating that accommodates up to 100 guests.

Ceramics Workshops for Private Groups

GoggleWorks offers participants the opportunity to work with clay in our ceramics studios with two types of workshops. The first, hand-building, can accommodate up to 15 people and wheel throwing which can accommodate up to 8 people. GoggleWorks also offers a seasonal Souper Bowl Workshop as well. GoggleWorks has a variety of various glass workshops including: flame-working, fused glass and glass blowing. Our flame working studio can accommodate up to 8 people, while fused glass can accommodate up to 15. Our glass blowing studio can accommodate up to 12. *We can accommodate larger groups based upon inquiry. Jewelry & Metalsmithing

Ripple Ring

  • 3 hours
  • $195 plus $20 per person for supplies

Create a cool and contemporary Ripple Ring in this 3-hour workshop using a range of jewelry and metalsmithing techniques in copper, bronze, brass and nickel silver.

Photography Workshops for Private Groups

GoggleWorks offers two photography workshops that are able to accommodate up to 10 people. The first is a Photogram workshop and the second is Dark Room techniques.
