Teambuilding Workshops

Teambuilding Programs

GoggleWorks’ Teambuilding Workshops are arts-based, interactive activities that provide the opportunity for your team members to work together to achieve a common vision while building camaraderie and boosting morale. Led by professional artists, our workshops will challenge your team to try their hands at something new – whether it be ceramics, fused glass, glassblowing, painting or photography.

GoggleWorks’ beautiful buildings provide a unique setting and a relaxed atmosphere for a memorable, creative and productive experience for your team, encouraging colleagues to see each other from a different perspective, build trust in each other and pave the way for constructive, meaningful communication in a fun and energizing way.

Clients have included Carpenter Technology, Concern 4 Kids, Coventry Corners, Godiva Chocolatiers, Kutztown University, Penske, Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products, and Stevens & Lee.

Teleflex Medical’s completed fused glass mural, before it was fired in the kiln.

Learn to cut and layer bits of brightly colored glass, which will be fired at high temperatures in a kiln and will fuse together to make beautiful glass tile mural. The group will develop a theme and then split into smaller groups to create a portion of the mural. Each team must communicate with the adjacent team, as well as with their team members to create a continuous, flowing composition. The mural tiles will work as individual pieces, but also within the group of pieces as a whole mural.

Communication is key in this fun, ice breaking workshop that will test both your listening and communication skills. Groups will be sorted into teams of three, and each member will take turns as the painter – blindfolded. Team members will guide their painters to complete a painted portrait of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Mona Lisa (La Gioconda), testing the strength of their communication skills. The finished paintings have a charming, abstract feel – and look great hung together as a group. Participants may take some time after the exercise to spruce up their portraits, add backgrounds, and enjoy each other´s work.

Members of the Junior League of Reading with their completed musical canvases.

As in the familiar game of musical chairs, group members will  move from canvas to canvas, using unconventional means such as painting with unusual tools to encourage creativity, spontaneity and intuitive thinking. For example, at one station you may paint with a broom, at another with palette knives, and at another with turkey basters. The point is to be free of detail and technique, even if just for a moment, and fall back into a moment of discovery and innovation.
