GoggleWorks Center for the Arts embraces collaboration and community. Several of our programs are designed to infuse art and the creative process into the everyday lives of our neighbors and friends.

After School Arts Program (ASAP)

ASAP is a year-round after school arts curriculum collaboratively developed with the 21st Century Community Learning Centers and the Reading Area School District, which integrates academic skill sets (reading, writing, math, and science) with basic visual design concepts. Thanks to the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC Program), ASAP offers 50 free, eight-week courses annually in ceramics, drawing, warm and hot glass, mixed media, music composition, painting, photography, theatre and woodworking at no charge. In 2015, ASAP touched the lives of 323 students.

University of the Arts Partnership

GoggleWorks is pleased to serve as an official location for University of the Arts Professional Institute for Educators (PIE) courses. Through graduate courses, PIE develops innovative and creative educational programming to serve the professional development needs of K-12 teachers in and through the arts.

Professional Development for Art Educators

GoggleWorks hosts several professional development trainings for local art educators throughout the year. Recently, in partnership with the Berks County Intermediate Unit, GoggleWorks welcomed 135 for Berks County Art Teachers Inservice Day Retreat – the largest professional development gathering for art educators in Berks County history.
